The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted our lives in countless ways, not the least of which was straining our relationship with the natural world. Stuck indoors, separated from friends and community, we were collectively cut off from nature’s nourishing presence like never before.
But while this period will be remembered for its intense isolation and disconnection, it also triggered a profound shift in how we view our bonds with nature and our domestic environments. As the outside world shrank, our homes became the primary sphere for living, working, and simply existing. This concentration of daily life into constructed, indoor spaces sparked a reawakening - a desire to thoughtfully invite the benefits and connections of nature back into our lives.
