Infinity House is a Grade II Listed Georgian home, which was originally built in 1716 in what is now the hub of London’s design district. The property has been recently renovated with a contemporary five-storey extension offsetting the traditional architecture. Ecoled were commissioned to supply bespoke lighting that could be seamlessly incorporated into the property’s overall design.Project
Phos’s bespoke products were incorporated as seamlessly as possible into the property, making the lighting very much a part of the overall design. The lighting was configured to work with and enhance the architectural details of the newly created contemporary extension of the home, creating a striking overall effect.
The glazed ceiling in the newly-extended kitchen and dining area has been punctuated with ultra-slim veins of LEDs from our Decoline striplight range. Miniature uplighters in the floor ensure that the heritage of Infinity House isn’t forgotten, throwing splashes of light onto the walls and drawing attention to the exposed sandstone brickwork of the original building.
Our Deco-Line LEDs are also used to pick out the treads on the cantilevered oak staircase. The lighting works to accentuate the shape of the property. It’s layered, which means that different lights in the same space are controlled separately. This allows the user to dim some lights, whilst others remain bright. The layering means that the atmosphere of the space can be altered according to requirements and is reflective of the resident’s desired mood. The result is an inviting and atmospheric feel.
